'Disgrace!' - Chelsea fans can't believe Reece James isn't in Championship team of the year

Chelsea fans are fuming that Reece James hasn't been included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year despite his stellar season for Wigan Athletic this season.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a stunning debut senior season for his loan club and has endeared himself to fans at the DW Stadium for his performances, with fans of his parent club Chelsea starting to sit up and take notice of the versatile defender.

Having played so well this season and with problems in defence at Stamford Bridge some of those fans want to see him return and play for Maurizio Sarri's first team next season as Chelsea look to improve in their second campaign under the Italian.

He was named in the EFL Championship Team of the Season picked by managers of the 24 Championship clubs but has been left out of the PFA Team of the Year which was named by his peers.

Instead, his place goes to Norwich City's Max Aarons who got the nod at right back.

It's left Chelsea fans amazed that their young star hasn't got himself a spot in the team that is a recognition of a player's ability from those that have played against them during the course of the season.

However, there was a spot for fellow Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham who got one of the three striker roles on offer this season for his performances for Aston Villa.

Here's what fans have had to say on social media about James' absence.
