Disenchanted and star Patrick Dempsey bid farewell to Ireland as final scene wraps in Enniskerry

The final scenes of Disney's Disenchanted have just wrapped up after taking over the town of Enniskerry for the past couple of months.

In a post on Facebook, Gardai confirmed filming for the hotly-anticipated sequel to Enchanted in the Wicklow village finished up yesterday.

The locals had taken the Disney blockbuster to heart with Goofy parking and Minnie ice creams.

The set will start to be dismantled today with normality returning to the village over the coming days.

Access to the town has been heavily restricted since filming began with gardai urging the public to avoid the area.

In a statement, the gardai said: "Gardai at Enniskerry are asking that people avoid the area in the coming days as filming of Disenchanted is ongoing until Friday and access to the village is heavily restricted.

“The car park which operated last weekend will once again be open next weekend with the usual supervision and shuttle bus service which worked so well."

"The filming by Disney of Disenchanted is attracting large numbers of people to the village, particularly at weekends.

"Sheer numbers and illegal parking has caused issues for emergency services and has restricted persons with mobility issues from freely accessing the area."

Hollywood elite like Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey have made Dublin their home for the past few months and have been busy seeing all the capital has to offer.

Most recently, Patrick Dempsey, the former Greys Anatomy actor, was seen enjoying the sights and sounds of Dalkey Island.
