Discovery of £368k worth of cannabis made on Scots street as cops launch probe

Police have launched a probe after they discovered a huge cannabis cultivation on a street in Fife.

Cops were called to a premises on Durie Street in Leven at around 10.50pm on Wednesday, August 4.

Upon arrival they discovered the drugs, believed to have an estimated street value of £368,000.

Officers spent most of the following day on the street while they made enquiries.

Following the find, police are appealing for information.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.50pm on Wednesday, 4 August, officers were called to a premises in Durie Street, Leven, following the discovery of a large cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £368,000.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 4091 of Wednesday, August 4.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
