Disco Brunch returning to Dublin for great music and better craic

A disco brunch is returning to Dublin at the beginning of February, proving to be hotly anticipated as tickets for the first event sold out in three hours.

Organised by business partners Chris Mellon and Conor Glennon, the first Disco Brunch event takes place on February 5 in The Well at Stephen's Green.

Chris told Dublin Live the idea for Disco Brunch came about in 2020 but was put on the long finger due to ever changing restrictions on hospitality and gatherings.

Once it launched last summer, it proved to be great fun for those attending.

Chris said: "It's a great reintroduction for people. There was a DJ, great food, cocktails and people dancing with their pods of six.

"It went really well and then we took it indoors into The Well in November last year. We had eight events there.

"There were live performances and it was just great fun.

"For the next one, we have Mimi Lane. She's a fantastic singer with a great voice. She'll do about 30 to 40 minutes of party starters and sing along songs to get people going. We put a little stage up in the middle of the venue for her."

Chris, who has a background working in events, also revealed that they have a full schedule of events lined up with plans to take the brunch outside of Dublin.

He added: "It's not a nightclub. It's a brunch where friends can meet and have great food.

"It's a daytime party. I think we really hit the nail on the head with this one."

The upcoming brunch on February 5 promises the best dance and house music from DJ Rob C as well as Mimi's performance.

Tickets went for €30 (excluding the booking fee), which includes a dish from the brunch menu and a cocktail.
