Disclosure may have defined the pop-house movement of the last year, but there was one demographic that it wasn't fully connecting with: the middle-aged. Thankfully they're taking steps to redress that, by hanging out with Sting after their concerts instead of other young people.
The other tactic is to get an old-school diva in to deliver some Holloway-level belting, thus harking back to both 70s disco and 90s Eurodance. They've wisely gone for Mary J Blige, who guests here on a new version of their track F for You, giving it some empowered heartbreak and anthemic heft even on stock club soundbites like "call out my name". She also went on stage with them this week in New York, and appears in the video, which gives the Haring-derived screwball graphics of 80s MTV an Urban Outfitters rerub.
