Superstar director Steven Spielberg has returned to his first love – aliens – for the blockbuster of the summer. Film critic Emma Jones tells us why "Disclosure Day" is a timely, entertaining and funny movie, starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Colman Domingo.

We also check out the first fully AI-generated film to feature at a major film festival, as "Dreams of Violets" premieres at Tribeca, putting civil resistance in Iran in the spotlight using digitally rendered characters.

In comic caper "The Christophers", Steven Soderbergh pokes fun at the London art world with help from Ian McKellan and Michaela Cole.

Plus "Un Anno di Scuola" explores misogyny and teenage angst via a new, female arrival in an all-male class in Italy.
