'Disaster!' - Chelsea supporters can't believe what Frank Lampard has done against Arsenal

Frank Lampard's team selection for this afternoon's Premier League encounter with Arsenal has got a number of Chelsea fans talking.

As expected, the Blues head coach is without Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Reece James because of injury.

The former has been out of action since May and his edging closer towards a return, while the latter injured his ankle on Christmas Day and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Perhaps the biggest decision Lampard has made is sticking with a back three - a system which proved to be effective against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Although, it wasn't helpful against Southampton three days ago as they were beaten 2-0 by Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

But the game against Spurs is certainly the blueprint and the only change to the back five from that team sees Emerson Palmieri replace Marcos Alonso at left-wing back.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic also return to the starting line-up.

In total, Lampard has made two changes to the side that was beaten on Boxing Day as the west London outfit look to draw inspiration from their last trip to north London seven days ago and move to within three points of Manchester City.

Chelsea line-up vs Arsenal: Kepa; Rudiger, Tomori, Zouma; Azpilicueta, Kante, Kovacic, Emerson; Willian, Abraham, Mount

Most of the reaction from Blues supporters on social media has centred around Christian Pulisic not being in the matchday squad.
