'Disappointed!' - Arsenal fans disagree with one decision Mikel Arteta has made vs Aston Villa

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to react to Mikel Arteta's team selection for this evening's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.

The Gunners go into the game on the back of a routine 4-1 win over Molde on Thursday night at the Emirates Stadium, as they continued their perfect start to this season's Europa League campaign.

And following this weekend's results, a win for Arsenal will see them jump four places in the table and move level on points with London rivals Chelsea ahead of the international break.

However, Arteta's side did lose their last Premier League home game and were beaten by Villa in a pre-season friendly back in September as well as at Villa Park in the penultimate game of the 2019/20 campaign.

In an attempt to avoid a third straight defeat at the hands of Dean Smith's side, Arteta has made several changes to the team that started in midweek.

As expected, captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Thomas Partey are among those recalled after being rested three days ago.

In fact, it's the same team that started at Old Trafford seven days ago which means another chance for Alexandre Lacazette to break his goal drought.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Bellerin, Elneny, Partey, Saka; Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang

Most of the reaction from Arsenal supporters on social media has centered around Nicolas Pepe being named on the bench and a start for Willian.

Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter...

@Lifegunnertev said: "My only problem is Pepe deserves a start let's be honest."

@Joglovu said: "Pepe masterclass midweek and he still got benched for Willian."
