Disappearance of Liverpool schoolboy, 14, sparks appeal for help

Police are appealing for help as they attempt to trace a missing schoolboy.

Khawaja Raiyan Alam was last seen on Smithdown Road at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old, from Toxteth, was wearing a St Francis of Assisi school top at the time.

Merseyside Police said the teenager is around 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with short brown curly hair.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a long sleeve navy blue top with the St Francis Assisi logo on, navy blue shorts and black Nike trainers.

He is known to spend time around the Faulkner Street, Faulkner Square and Smithdown Road areas.
