Ten years after its world premiere, Baby is back out of the corner and Dirty Dancing the musical is on stage in Australia. This production stars Georgina Rich as Frances “Baby” Houseman, the idealistic teen who falls for resident dance instructor Johnny Castle, played by Josef Brown, while on a family holiday in the 1960s.
The stage show of the cult classic film was first performed in Sydney in 2004, then had an 18 month sell-out season across the nation. When the production opened in Germany in 2006, it broke records for achieving the largest advance in European theatre history.
