Almost 30 years after the 1987 movie took the world by storm, Dirty Dancing returns to the Australian stage.
The film remains a cult classic, while the stage show, which was first performed in Sydney in 2004, had an 18 month sell-out season across the nation. It had similar success internationally: when the production opened in Germany in 2006, it broke records for achieving the largest advance in European theatre history.
This production stars Georgina Rich as Frances “Baby” Houseman, the idealistic teen who falls for resident dance instructor Johnny Castle while on a family holiday in the 60s.
