Dirk Nowitzki had a season-high 30 points on 11-of-31 shooting in Dallas’ win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
And then right after doing so, he told the fans at American Airlines Center in Dallas that they had just watched his last home game.
It was an emotional day for the Mavericks legend as team personal and arena staff gave him an incredible welcome when he pulled into the arena.
Nowitzki then went out and showed flashes of his old self and showed why he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game.

The Mavs close their season Wednesday night in San Antonio and then Nowitzki’s legendary career will sadly be over.
