Dirk Koetter says Falcons WR Calvin Ridley has been ‘tearing it up’ in practice

Explosive second-year wide receiver Calvin Ridley had another impressive performance in the Falcons’ Week 2 win over the Eagles. He finished the game with eight catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.

According to Atlanta’s offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, Ridley’s success isn’t coming by accident.

Koetter credited the receiver for playing extremely well during practice, as tweeted below by Falcons reporter Kelsey Conway.

Ridley has been tearing it up in games, too. He has a touchdown in each of the first two weeks and is the team’s leading receiver with 169 yards.

The former first-round pick is not only one of the best No. 2 options in the league, he’s one of the bright young stars at the position.
