I was glad to read in the Daily Telegraph today that directors of 'amateur' companies set up to run residents' associations and the like are being held to account for their actions.
I'm not glad that a simple matter of looking after one's house and environment has to entail a big legal issue of course. But I do think that if someone's going to be a director, albeit in a small capacity, they need to understand that there are legal obligations attached.
Of course, if someone in power felt like making the running of your own home a little simpler that would also be fine...
