Director of Oscar winning film Parasite Bong Joon-ho wants Man City star at dream dinner

Famed and award winning film director, Bong Joon-ho, has revealed that he would invite Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne to his dream dinner party.

Joon-ho made history at the 2020 edition of the prestigious Oscars award ceremony on Sunday as his acclaimed movie 'Parasite' became the first foreign-language film ever to win the coveted 'best picture' award in its 92 year history.

'Parasite' also picked up the award for best foreign-language film while Joon-ho claimed the best director accolade and the award for best original screenplay, alongside co-writer Han Ji-won.

Despite the shock success, perhaps the most surprising thing about Joon-ho is that he is a massive fan of City's De Bruyne.

The South Korean conducted a Q&A on Reddit in November and one user posed the question: "What would be your last supper and what five people would you invite (dead or alive)?"

Joon-ho's answer contained a name that no one could have expected as he answered: "Hitchcock, Yuna Kim, Kevin De Bruyne, Martin Scorsese, and Jimmy Page, who was my hero in high school.

"We are eating Spanish cuisine. Lots of paella."

There, alongside famed directors, Led Zeppelin's guitarist and a South Korean figure skater, is City's brilliant Belgian midfielder.

Perhaps it's no surprise with the magical form De Bruyne has been in this season, notching up a staggering 18 assists and seven goals in 31 appearances already.
