Michael Ballack has got Chelsea fans talking after paying a visit to the club's training base.
The German posted two pictures of himself alongside Blues head coach Frank Lampard at the Blues' training ground as the team prepared for their Premier League encounter against Southampton.
Ballack had previously been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge, with the former player said to have been included on the shortlist for the role of technical director last September.
But nothing has materialised.
The former player revealed on his Instagram account earlier in the year that he was undertaking his UEFA B licence in Wales, posting pictures of himself on the course, as well as posting a good luck message to Lampard when he was confirmed as the new Chelsea head coach in the summer.
And his return to the club prompted a big reaction from fans on social media.
