'Dire football' - Bristol City fans have their say on Millwall defeat and home form

It wasn't pretty on Tuesday night as Bristol City lost a fourth home game of the season, suffering back-to-back reverses in the Championship for the second time this season.

But it's less the results and more the manner of the games that has the fans backs up. City have lost four of their 10 home games and the displays in BS3 seem to be getting worse and worse.

Where before it was 1-0 wins (Blackburn, Derby) now sides are coming to Ashton Gate, sitting back in a low block and picking off the Robins, who have failed to deal with the physicality offered up by Birmingham, Rotherham and now Millwall.

And with Preston up next, things could yet get worse.

Here's a selection of your takes from Facebook on last night's disappointing display, as the Robins slide down the table to eighth and could be set to carry on in that direction.

Mike T: 1 shot on target at home to a team that have not won in 10 games is not an improvement.

As we had 2 shots on target against Rotherham.

Hopefully they will bounce back quickly but at this stage of the season we need consistency.

John H: I agree . Pathetic

David D: [Dean Holden is] Totally Deluded!!

Thomas H: Toothless

Ben H: I can't even watch this....

Mark W: Johnson in

Nick S: In Holden we trust

Bristol City manager Dean Holden speaks to the press after the final whistle of the match (Ryan Hiscott/JMP)

Hossam: Fifa 21 is that u ?

Danny Brice: Watching a different game to me dean

Terry L: Deano that was dreadful bud !

Stephen N: We move on we stick together we zzźzzz

Terry W: Just glad didn’t have sit at the ground freezing cold watching it

Steve L: Absolute bollox again

Paul M: Have a look back at it  there ain't nothing to look at.

Steve M: Dean that was awful with no positives.

Steve: 1 bloody shot, and no corners in 90 minutes, cut out all this B.S, what do you take fans for? Mugs? Oh yes we have been for few seasons now!

Edward R: To be fair I don’t blame Holden at all, and calls for him to quit I don’t agree with. I think he needs to see the season through take stock and if we’re anything lower than playoffs then it’s time for a gritty, grey, snarly experienced manager, and SH it will be chequebook time, not raiding the piggy bank for the coppers.

Ian S: Dire football! No charge since Lee got sacked seriously.
