Another major company is distancing itself from Travis Scott.
The multiple platinum-selling rapper’s partnership with luxury fashion empire Dior has been indefinitely postponed in the wake of the recent Astroworld Festival tragedy.
Dior announced that it has put its planned collaboration between artistic director Kim Jones and Scott’s Cactus Jack line on hold.
The capsule collection was slated to launch in January.
“Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection,” the French fashion giant said in a statement on Tuesday.
The embattled rapper’s team told Women’s Wear Daily that both entities mutually decided to postpone the launch, which would have marked the first time Dior partnered with a musician on a collection.
On Nov. 16, Nike announced it was postponing the launch of Scott’s Baroque Brown and Saturn Gold Air Max 1 X Cactus Jack sneakers.
On Dec. 11, Anheuser-Busch revealed that it will no longer distribute the rapper’s Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer.
He was also removed as a headliner of the 2022 Coachella music festival lineup.
Ten people died and dozens more were injured as Astroworld crowds rushed the stage at NRG Park in Houston on Nov. 5.
Scott, who organized the annual event and served as its headliner, is named in numerous lawsuits in connection to the chaotic scene.
