Diogo Jota sends one-word message to Divock Origi after last-minute winner for Liverpool

Diogo Jota posted a message to his Liverpool teammate Divock Origi after the striker came off the bench to score a 94th minute winner - saving Jota’s blushes.

Jota, who was returning to former club Wolves on his 25th birthday, missed a guilt-edge chance to put his side in the lead but he smashed the ball at Conor Coady on the goal line.

The Portuguese star cannot be criticised for the miss too much after the eight goals he has in the Premier League this season have been a massive help to the Reds.

Posting a picture on Instagram, Jota simply said "thanks" to his team-mate for getting him off the hook.

Origi’s late goal moved the Reds up to the top of the Premier League briefly and they now sit just one point behind Manchester City after their 3-1 win at Watford.

It was a return to the good old days for Liverpool after the late winner put pressure on their title rivals in a time where games are coming thick and fast.
