Diogo Dalot signs new Manchester United contract

Diogo Dalot has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester United. Dalot, 24, has inked a new deal until 2028, with the option of an additional year. United signed the right-back from Porto for £19million in 2018 and he has played 107 times for the club, scoring three goals.

Dalot said: “Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football. We have shared some fantastic moments over the past five years, and I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined.

What David de Gea told Ander Herrera about his Manchester United future in private chat

Ander Herrera says David de Gea told him he is “not worried” about his Manchester United future despite uncertainty over his status as No.1 next season.

Erik ten Hag has refused to confirm the 32-year-old as the preferred pick going forward despite being on the cusp of a reduced-terms renewal having picked up the Premier League Golden Glove this month.

De Gea - whose current deal expires next month - has been at fault for several goals this season with mistakes against Brentford, Sevilla and West Ham costing United dearly. A goalkeeper is not thought to be high on Ten Hag’s wish list with other priority areas needing reinforcement but a new summer arrival is still a possibility.

Former United star Herrera has revealed he frequently speaks with De Gea, albeit is yet to ask him about his contract situation.
