Diogo Dalot names Manchester United player as his toughest opponent

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has named Anthony Martial as the toughest opponent he has faced.

The 21-year-old has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines with injury, making just 10 appearances in all competitions this season.

Dalot's last appearance for United came in the 3-0 FA Cup win against Derby County on March 3 prior the postponement of the football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Portuguese is following individual fitness programmes at home along with the rest of the squad and took part in a question and answer session on Instagram.

Asked to name the toughest attacker he's ever faced, Dalot picked out Martial, presumably from the training sessions they have come up against each other in.

"I would say this man right here [Martial]," he told SoccerBible. "I think he doesn't need any introductions. He's a fantastic player."

Dalot was part of the United team thatdefeated Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and was asked to reveal his fondest memory of that evening during the Q&A.

"The best memories from that night apart from the whole game was the celebrations with the fans after the game.

"We had thousands of fans there celebrating with us.

"It was a fantastic moment."
