Bruno Fernandes is already on his way to becoming a Manchester United legend – according to team-mate Diogo Dalot.
Fernandes was named Premier League Player of the Month for February, after the £46.6million playmaker dazzled for United.
The 25-year-old, also voted United and PFA Player of the Month, has made an explosive start to his career in England since making his much-heralded move from Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes made his United debut on February 1 in a 0-0 draw with Wolves and has since racked up three goals and four assists, making him an instant hero with Reds' fans.
Portugal compatriot and club team-mate Dalot is in no doubt that Fernandes is guaranteed legendary status at United, after his sparkling start to life at Old Trafford.
Dalot said: “He’s a top guy, a top player. He is going to be legend.
“He’s unbelievable, he can better of course as well. He’s going to learn a lot from this club. I think he is a massive player to have in this team and he’s going to be a very good player for this club.
“He’s going to be a legend, no doubt about that.
“He was the captain at Sporting, of course he’s an experienced player as well, 25 years old.
Dalot, speaking to the official Manchester United podcast, added: “He’s played in Italy, he played in Portugal as well. He knows what he is doing. It’s going to be very good for him.”
Former United skipper Gary Neville now a pundit for Sky Sports, said: “Bruno Fernandes has made an impact beyond what anyone could have expected, not just in possession but out of possession.
“The way he sprints and gets at people, he is hungry and it looks like it is rubbing off on people.”
