Diogo Dalot and Manchester United fans love Cristiano Ronaldo's Instagram message

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a rousing message on Instagram as he responded to recent reports surrounding the current situation at Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar has found himself at the centre of questions over his attitude since returning to Old Trafford amid speculation of unrest at United.

Recent reports have suggested players are unhappy at the current situation at the club, as well as interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s training methods, which has played a part in their lacklustre performances of late.

Ronaldo’s own application has also been brought into sharp focus, with former team-mate Gary Neville criticising him for not acknowledging the away fans at Newcastle, while other pundits have warned the five-time Ballon d’Or winner over his attitude.

The 36-year-old has of yet remained silent on the issue, although his latest post on social media looked to be his own response.

Ronaldo posted a black and white picture of himself in training with United, along with the caption “keep working”, seemingly in an effort to deny reports of unrest in training.

The post also included a picture of himself posing with team-mates Alex Telles and Diogo Dalot, with the latter showing his appreciation as he replied with a love heart emoji.

And plenty of United fans responded in a similar fashion, with thousands of supporters showing their love for Ronaldo in the replies as a show of solidarity following recent reports.

Ronaldo’s post comes after United team-mate Fred denied suggestions he and other players were unhappy at the club in a series of tweets on Friday.

The midfielder posted: "Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes. I'm not in the habit of answering controversial stuff publicly, but this time I will have to.

"I just want to say that I am very happy here and I have never expressed any dissatisfaction and the possibility of leaving the club. Don't get misled by fake news. We will continue to work with great dedication to pursue our goals."
