Dinosaur World Live visits Newcastle this August and its T-Rex is out to make a big impact

The latest attraction announced for the new outdoor arena in Newcastle this summer is set to be the biggest on the line-up yet - literally.

Huge dinosaurs will be treading their way into the Virgin Money Unity Arena and among the mighty visitors will be a T-Rex.

Dinosaur World Live is joining the programme of music and comedy acts at the outdoor arena in the Gosforth Park grounds of Newcastle Racecourse where the stars of the show are guaranteed to make a big impact.

The family treat, which is considered suitable for those aged three-plus, will feature 50 minutes of action in each of its three shows running from August 20-21.

The show's interactive story, written and directed by Derek Bond, will see a character called Miranda, daughter of a palaeontologist, introduce families to the prehistoric pals she grew up with on an island off the coast of South America.

And, besides the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the life-like dinosaurs will include a Triceratops, a Giraffatitan, a Microraptor, and a Segnosaurus.

The shows will take place at 11am on August 20 then at 11am and 1.30pm on August 21.

Socially-distanced viewing platforms are available at the outdoor arena for up to five people and cost £50. To book tickets see here.
