Dinosaur show from Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist is coming to Thornbury

An interactive tour featuring life-size replica dinosaurs is coming to the Bristol area for four special performances. Dinomania will be coming to Thornbury for just two days only in the new year.

Dinomania found fame on Britain's Got Talent this year when ranger Chris Roberts impressed Simon Cowell and his cohort of judges with his act. The performance featured founder Chris, from Swansea, dancing around on stage with dinosaurs.

"I think the idea of a dance group with dinosaurs is brilliant," judge Simon said at Dinomania's audition for the ITV show. The act received three out of four yeses from the judges, putting Chris through to the next round, reaching the semi-finals.

The award-winning Youtube Rangers from Dinomania teach people about the amazing history of dinosaurs. The act sees dinosaurs roam around the crowd and interact with the audience, and claims to be the biggest dinosaur show in the UK.

Dinomania is not just about the interactive dinosaurs but boasts one of the largest mobile dinosaur museums, with lots of fossils and replicas, including a full-size T-Rex skull. Al the Allosaurus stands at a staggering 7.3m long and 4m tall while there's also Millie, a full size triceratops.

Coming to Thornbury Active Lifestyle Centre in the new year, the shows are earmarked for January 7 and 8, 2023 with a performance on each day at 11am and 2pm. There are 300 tickets available for each session priced at £12.50 per person, suitable for all ages.

Dinomania also hosts educational workshops in schools suitable for those in nursery right up to Key Stage 2. Ranger Chris has amassed over 850k YouTube subscribers and 1.5 million followers on TikTok. The 'Dinomania Educates' tour was a sell-out success and welcomed five-star reviews.
