Dino Kingdom is coming to Manchester this summer - how to save money on tickets

An event featuring more than 100 moving and roaring dinosaurs and creatures will transform a Manchester park this summer.

Dino Kingdom is being created by the team behind Lightopia and is coming to Wythenshawe Park over the long school holidays.

Billed as 'a must-see attraction', families will be able to meet and interact with more than 70 life-sized dinosaurs – including a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex and the biggest installation, the Apatosaurus, will tower above at 18 metres long.

There will be smaller dinosaurs to see too, including hatching babies and other interactive beastly beings amongst the woodland, including crocodiles, frog, bees, spiders and more.

The team behind the award-winning light and lantern festival which came to Heaton Park will be creating the 'epic outdoor, prehistoric exploration', with state-of-the-art 3D and AR technology bringing dinosaurs back to life with 'unforgettable interactive experiences' and 'thrilling fairground rides'.

The prehistoric kingdom will be open from July 23 until August 8 and promises to be 'an educational experience as much as an adventure' with an excavation sand pit, dinosaur eggs, fossils, volcanoes, a giant dinosaur skeleton head and a walk-through fossil tunnel for those budding palaeontologists to enjoy.

As well as the animatronic dinosaurs and 3D dinosaur projection mapping and fairground rides, there'll be fun dino performances, hand puppets and costume characters.

Dino Kingdom will open daily from 11am to 7pm every day, with hourly entry slots. Sign up on the website here to register for a 25% off discount code.

Advance tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £13 for children (under threes are free) and £52 for families of two adults and two children, concessions are priced at £14. Tickets will also be available on the door.
