The night may be dark and full of terrors, but a new evening at Game of Thrones-inspired immersive experience comes with supper too.
Coinciding with the release of the fantasy drama’s eighth series in April, a new theatrical dining experience at The Vaults in Waterloo will recreate the decadence, drama and darkness of the Seven Kingdoms, albeit with a spoof twist.
Running from April 9 to June 2, Dinner Is Coming will welcome diners into the wedding feast of “Jaffrey Bearathon” and “Margarine of the Trywell Family”, hosted in the central London location’s 30,000 square foot maze of underground tunnels.
Guests are invited to dress either as a Lord or Lady of the houses of “Easteros”, or as a warrior or as a peasant. Revellers will tuck into a feast and specially designed drinks, enjoying the frivolities of the nuptials before the storyline inevitably takes a murderous turn.
The adult-only immersive show – which is set to include nudity, violence and dragons – is directed by Sam Carrack, and will feature food from chefs Chavdar Todorov and Steven Estevez.
Experience venue The Vaults is the location of the annual arts festival Vault, and regularly hosts immersive experiences, including Les Enfants Terrible’s Alice’s Adventures Underground and more recently Divine Proportions, which invited visitors to banquet like a Greek god.
