A MAN will face court next month after allegedly threatening a family dining at a Central Coast restaurant.
Police had begun investigating in February after a man, 60, was approached while eating with a 38-year-old woman and two children, eight and three.
The four were eating at an Anzac Road fast food restaurant on Anzac Road at Tuggerah when a man allegedly approached them and verbally abused the family, intimidating the children in what police will claim was an unprovoked incident.
"The older man attempted to diffuse the situation, while the man - not known to the family - continued to threaten and abuse the family before leaving the venue," NSW Police said in a statement on Tuesday.

Inquiries led police to arrest a 43-year-old man at The Entrance.
That arrest, on an unrelated matter, led to the man being taken to Wyong police station.
He was subsequently charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm and one count of affray.
He was refused bail to face Wyong Local Court on April 6.
