Diner injured after car crashes through KFC window

A diner was injured after a car crashed into a KFC branch yesterday (Wednesday, September 30).

A car drove through the window of the restaurant at Hengrove Leisure Park Shortly after 7pm.

A member of the public suffered minor injuries caused by the broken glass.

The female driver and two teenagers were uninjured in the incident.

Police confirmed the female driver had been reported for driving without due care and attention.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We received a report from a member of the public that a car had been driven through a window at KFC, Hengrove Leisure Park last night (Wednesday 30 September) shortly after 7pm.

"Officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service to establish the level of damage/injuries.

"A member of the public inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries caused by broken glass. The vehicle occupants – a female driver and two teenagers - were uninjured.

"The driver of the vehicle was reported for driving without due care and attention and enquiries are ongoing."

KFC has been approached for comment.
