Posters everywhere
In Ramanathapuram, the outer portion of compound walls of several government office buildings have been defaced by indiscriminate pasting of wall posters. Even walls of private premises are not left out. Road medians and even parapets of bridges on highways are not spared. Posters are posted even on signboards along highways, thus defeating the very purpose for which they are installed. These posters are pasted during night hours. The district administration should put a full stop to this practice with an iron hand with the help of police and highway patrol vehicles.

ATMs without cash
Banking sector has witnessed a multi-dimensional growth with bank branches and ATMs found even in remote areas. ATM kiosks can be found in nooks and corners of the country, But not all ATMs have cash for disbursal all the time, especially during holidays. When every government machinery is geared up to meet even unforeseen situations, banks just display holiday notice on their premises and do not care to fill the ATMs with cash. I request the bankers to live up to the expectations of the people.

Collect normal fare
In2014, TNSTC Division-III, favouring private buses, increased bus fare in Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram and Paramakudi depots. Buses operated from these depots collected ₹13 extra under the pretext of operating express buses. There is not a single ‘ordinary’ bus to Madurai from these depots. So, I request the TNSTC authorities to operate at least half the number of buses on this sector as ‘ordinary’ buses and collect normal fare from passengers.

Summer special to Rameswaram
The Southern Railway has proposed to operate summer special servicesfrom Chennai to Nagercoil and Shenkottai. But Rameswaram is an important pilgrim centre and the pilgrim traffic is high during summer holidays. So, I request the railways to operate summer special services to Rameswarm.
