Manchester City have already booked their place in the Champions League knockout rounds as Group C winners, but Dinamo Zagreb face a do-or-die game when Pep Guardiola’s side come to town.
The Croatians currently occupy third place behind Shakhtar Donetsk, with the Ukrainians ahead by a single point.
Shakhtar host Atalanta in their final game, so Dinamo will know will go into this one with the feeling that nothing less than a win will do on Wednesday night.
But in City, much will depend on how they respond to Saturday’s home defeat to arch rivals Manchester United. Will they respond with a bang, or will a Manchester derby hangover plague them on the road?
Match details
Fixture: Dinamo Zagreb vs Man City
Venue: Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb, Croatia
Kick-off:Team news
Dinamo Zagreb: Amer Gojak returned as a second-half substitute on against Atalanta, his first appearance since suffering an ankle injury against Osijek on 27 October. He has started both league games since that Atalanta match.
Man City: Sergio Aguero (thigh) and John Stones (thigh) will both miss Wednesday’s game, while there are still question marks over whether fullback Oleksandr Zinchenko (knee) will be feature. Guardiola confirmed the player ‘fit’ for the clash, and this game - with a Last 16 place already secure - could be an ideal time to generate some much-needed match fitness.
Aymeric Laporte (knee) and Leroy Sane (knee) are definitely out.
