Dimitar Berbatov spots difference in Paul Pogba since Bruno Fernandes signed

Paul Pogba is smiling again at Manchester United - and Bruno Fernandes has played a big part in his restored happiness.

That's according to former Red Devils forward Dimitar Berbatov, who is delighted with the start Fernandes has made and the way he and Pogba are getting the best out of each other at Old Trafford.

Pogba had been linked with a transfer away from United in the summer but Berbatov believes Fernandes' arrival has breathed new life into the Frenchman.

So much so that he'll be staying put - in a huge boast to the Red Devils.

Berbatov told Mirror Football: "Even before people ask me, I believe that Pogba will stay.

"Watching him play at the moment he looks happy, he is smiling and he is linking up really well with Fernandes, I think he is really enjoying playing at United at the moment.

"With him, Bruno Fernandes, [Nemanja] Matic, who was excellent against Brighton, [Scott] McTominay, a great talent for the future, and [Mason] Greenwood, who, against Brighton, was like Ronaldo - his left foot is unbelievable along with his vision, I don't think many signings are needed to take United to that next level.

"They need to be really classy players to make the difference, someone who is going to be better than the current squad of players."

He added: "If Pogba stays then I think their partnership will only get better, you can see they already have something going with the way they look for each other on the pitch and where they are passing, there is clearly a great future for both of them at United."
