Former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has revealed he would have loved to play alongside Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne due to his exceptional vision and passing ability.
The Belgian missed the majority of last season through injury but is back to his brilliant best after returning to full fitness.
De Bruyne was a constant danger during the game against West Ham and was the star of the show against Tottenham, collecting two wonderful assists thanks to his world-class crossing ability.
Berbatov , who also played in the Premier League with Spurs, hailed the 28-year-old as "outstanding" and revealed he would have loved to play alongside him during his career.
"What I would give to have played with a player like Kevin De Bruyne, he is unbelievable," he told Betfair . "He is one of the best, if not the best in the world right now.
"Purely because of his vision, I think he is two or three steps ahead of the game. Before the ball comes to him he knows where to play it, how to pass it, the exact speed, when he needs to hit it."
Despite his talents, Berbatov thinks that De Bruyne is still getting better and City are a different beast when he is on top form.
The Bulgarian added: "He is an unbelievable talent who is growing and developing every year and for me it is a pure joy to watch him.
"Manchester City have one of the best midfielders in the world and when he is on top of his game they are unbelievable too."
