Lucas Moura should start for Tottenham Hotspur against Newcastle United this afternoon.
That is the view of ex-Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov.
The Brazilian has been somewhat of a hero for the north London outfit in recent months. He scored a memorable hat-trick against Ajax to book a place in the Champions League final last season and secured a point against Man City last week with his very first touch after coming on as a substitute.
However, Moura doesn't seem to have fully convinced Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
And with Heung-min Son available once again after suspension, there's even more competition for places in attack alongside Harry Kane.
But if Berbatov was picking the team then Moura would be a starter as reward for his impact against the defending Premier League champions eight days ago.
"In the end it is Pochettino's decision who starts but based on the desire he showed coming from the bench and the goal he scored at the Etihad, I'm expecting he is going to start this weekend," Berbatov told Betfair.
"I was laughing and I was happy because he is not the tallest player on the pitch.
"How the **** did he out-jump Kyle Walker, who is quick, tall and can jump.
"I watched it in slow motion and Moura's leap is incredibly high."
In addition, Berbatov is of the opinion that Pochettino can get the best out of Lucas by using him more from dead-ball situations.
"They should use him more in corner kicks," Berbatov added. "He can ******* jump!
"It was unbelievable, his first touch was a header to score a goal against Man City and he's one of the smallest guys on the pitch, that must have been so embarrassing for the Man City players.
"Guardiola was probably thinking 'what the ****, guys?'"
