Former Tottenham and Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov has issued a warning to both clubs over their interest in Paulo Dybala.
Spurs began the Dybala frenzy in recent weeks by entering tentative talks with Juventus over the forward's future but that was soon usurped by United.
The Red Devils have now been in talks with Juventus for several days over a potential swap deal, with media outlets around Europe explaining that the transfer is agreed in principle.
United would want Dybala in exchange for wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku, who would like to leave Old Trafford.
Juventus are eager to get a deal done but the ball is firmly in the court of Dybala, with the 25-year-old yet to accept United's offer as he holds out for €10million a year.
Whilst Berbatov acknowledges the quality that the Argentinian has at his disposal, the former striker insists that he may struggle in the Premier League.
"I am a fan of Dybala. You can see his football intelligence. The thinking, his pass, the left-foot, his shots, his free-kicks, I like him a lot," Berbatov told Metro.
"The only thing is that he is not big, he’s small. Will he fit into the Premier League where it’s more physical?
"But you look at other players with his stature – David Silva for example – he’s a legend. It’s important for him to look at those types of players if the deal goes through."
