'Dilly-dallying' - Nottingham Forest fans on the future of Sabri Lamouchi

Nottingham Forest could be forced into moving forward contract talks with head coach Sabri Lamouchi, according to reports.

And it seems that’s something which would go down very well with Reds fans.

The Frenchman was appointed at the City Ground last June, for his first taste of English football, and since then has overseen a promotion charge.

Forest sit fifth in the Championship table and will hope to resume their push for the Premier League once football is back underway, with games currently suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Lamouchi put pen to paper on a one-year deal when he took charge and has previously said his future was not a priority.

But The Sun claim any plans the club had to wait until the end of the season to tie down their manager could be brought forward, to reduce the risk of losing him when the campaign ends.

Here’s what Reds supporters have had to say on the matter on our Facebook page.

Malcolm Coulby: “Let's (get) it done and get some stability and positivity in the club for the fans of nffc in these difficult times. Sabri is doing a great job.”

Carl Forsman: “I love him, and he should absolutely refuse to sign another one year deal. He HAS to get at least two.”

Jamie Minion Gibson: “I don’t know how much more convincing the hierarchy need. He’s doing a great job and it’s the best position we’ve been in for years. Yes he’s made a few crazy decisions along the way but we’re still in with a chance. Sign him now get it done.”

Paul McGee: “Give the man a new contract. He's doing a great job. I don't see why there dilly dallying. Get it done. We need stability.”

Aaron Farrands: “Get it done Forest. Worth every penny.”

Ian Broadley: “Simple .....contracts automatically extended till the season officially ends for all clubs.”

Scott Leivers: “I agree sign him or lose him.”

Damien Grattan: “Sign him up.”
