Dillian Whyte reveals tactics for Oscar Rivas heavyweight fight

Dillian Whyte has revealed he hopes Oscar Rivas focuses too much on the Brit's famed left hook.

Lucas Browne and Dereck Chisora have both been knocked out cold by Whyte's thunderous shot.

But the Londoner insists he has a number of ways to beat the dangerous Rivas up his sleeve.

"Rivas can look out for my left hook, but I've got a massive arsenal of other punches," he said.

"Hopefully, he'll be looking for the left hook and that will leave him open."

Whyte has had to wait impatiently for a shot at a world title despite being the No.1 challenger with the WBC.

But victory over Rivas should guarantee him a shot at world champion Deontay Wilder next year.

Whyte added: "I'm probably the most underestimated boxer in the world. People always talk some rubbish every time I fight them. We see it time and time again.

"I've done nothing but praise Oscar Rivas. He beat Kubrat Pulev and Andy Ruiz in the amateurs, he was a top amateur – 26 fights, 26 wins in the pros, 18 knockouts. He just beat Bryant Jennings.

"This for Rivas in his world title. For him it's a big thing. He thinks everyone is overlooking him and he’s going to prove this and he’s going to prove that. I do that every fight.

"This isn't a fight that I’m going to change my mindset for. It's been like this my whole career."

Whyte was given the opportunity to fight Anthony Joshua for a second time earlier this year.

But he considered the offer derisory and Joshua went on to lose his world titles to Andy Ruiz Jr last month.
