Dillian Whyte reveals how much he was offered to fight Anthony Joshua

Dillian Whyte has claimed he was offered £4million to fight Anthony Joshua - four times less than Tyson Fury.

The heavyweights were pencilled in for a rematch at Wembley next Saturday but were unable to reach a deal.

Joshua will instead defend his three world titles against untested American Jarrell Miller in New York on June 1.

Whyte, meanwhile, has been left in limbo after rejecting the chance to avenge his defeat by Joshua in 2015.

And he said: "If they want a serious fight, they need to make a serious offer.

"But clearly he’s not serious about fighting me, he's trying to just talk and tick the box. I know my value, I know what value I bring.

David Price makes bold Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury prediction

"What people have got to understand is what’s a large chunk of money to them and what’s a large chunk of money to me? It's two different things.

"I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but four million pounds? I’m one of the top four fighters in the world, and really you can't offer Tyson Fury £15m and offer me four."

Speaking in the BBC documentary Fighting to be Champ , Whyte added: "Of course I believe I can become a world champion, anything could happen, of course I believe I can beat [Joshua].

Why Anthony Joshua needs to overcome 'Drake curse' to beat Jarrell Miller

"They wanted to pay me rubbish money in the first fight [and if] I beat him, they wanted the lion’s share of the rematch, which I didn’t think was right.

"Jarrell Miller is an easier fight for him.

"He beats Miller; Miller is cheaper, Miller has got no real profile. I’m way more dangerous for him than Miller is. Miller is just garbage, isn’t he?"
