Dillian Whyte doubts Deontay Wilder fight as ‘all he does is post pictures with guns, alcohol and weed’

Dillian Whyte has raised doubts over a possible meeting against Deontay Wilder, hinting the American may have fought his last fight at the age of 35.

Whyte defeated Alexander Povetkin on Saturday night to pave the way for what promoter Eddie Hearn called “a colossal fight” in the United States, with Wilder, a long-term target for the Brixton fighter, a potential candidate.

But the American has not fought in over a year since losing his WBC heavyweight belt to Tyson Fury.

And Whyte said: “We don’t know if Wilder is even going to fight again. All he does is post pictures with guns, alcohol and weed.

“I would love to smash his face in but, if he’s not going to fight, what can I do?”

Whyte’s main ambition is to get a shot at the winner of Fury against Anthony Joshua, and Hearn said: “We are back where we want to be. The aim remains the same, for Dillian to have a shot at the world championship.”
