Dillian Whyte brands Tyson Fury a 'coward' as heavyweights exchange words

Dillian Whyte has taken to Instagram to accuse Tyson Fury of being a "coward".

Heavyweight champion Fury has the third fight in his Deontay Wilder trilogy next on his plate, before a highly anticipated two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua coming up afterwards.

But British rival Whyte reckons that the 'Gypsy King' is avoiding a fight with him, having verbally agreed to take him on previously.

Whyte posted a clip of Fury accepting the fight, and has told him to stick to his words and snub Wilder and Joshua.

"Coward @gypsyking101 you opened your mouth to say you’d fight me, now like the rest of them your running scared.

"We sparred countless times and I put you down, that is a FACT. I’ve work my way to the top the hard way, all I owe you is another beating.

"Our last 10 opponents don’t compare. GLOVE UP COWARD.........."

Strangely, that message came hours after Fury had posted how he sent a text message to Whyte following his unconvincing victory over Mariusz Wach last year - which continued a social media war of words of the last couple of weeks.

Fury wrote on Instagram : "This is a text I sent @dillianwhyte back in December after his fight with Wach, I was concerned about him so I reached out to him. And this is how people treat you when your nice to them!!

"And by the way when he was out on a ban years ago I kept him going with bringing him in to my camps sparing and paying him and looking after him like egg in a cake & this is how I’m repaid with BS tweets.

"There is a saying people take kindness for a weakness. & another men meet before mountains."
