Digital mapping: how young people are improving communities - video

UNICEF’s Youth Led Digital Mapping initiative has provided young people with tools to communicate community issues.

With the help of UNICEF, young people in Rio have been taught digital mapping techniques to better illustrate the problems facing their communities. The maps demonstrate which parts of a community need improving, for example better sanitation and sewage infrastructure, and provide a starting point for resolutions.
