Instagram sensation Niharika NM is set to rock Cannes, as she gears up to participate in the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA). The digital content creator who has over two million followers on Instagram spoke to us about Cannes, fashion and more! Here are some excerpts from the interview.
What brings you to Cannes this year?
"WIBA has graciously invited me to attend the World Influencers and Blogger Awards in Cannes."
What are you wearing at Cannes?
"My amazing stylist Anisha Jain is dressing me up in an Indian designer outfit that makes me feel like a princess, which I rarely do unless I'm dressed up for one of my videos. So, I'm just looking forward to feeling beautiful."
Tell us something about the whole experience of attending the show.
"I feel incredible and appreciated by my followers and those who enjoy my content. This was not on my bucket list but is a great milestone for me. This will always hold a special place in my heart."
What are your expectations from Cannes and DigiTaj WIBA in terms of fashion?
"I'm sure everyone will look fabulous and I should be the last person to talk about fashion because my go-to outfit is joggers and a crop top. I'm really not the best person to judge fashion. But I’m sure I’ll be taken aback by everyone's stunning attire. I'm just thrilled to have my own Cinderella dress."
Whom are you waiting to bump into?
"Yes, I'm excited to meet Doja Cat, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, or any of my pop heroes; if they're attending. I'm going to have a full-on fangirl moment to the point where I might have to be dragged out by security, but I'm going to try to keep it casual."
You are the first ever creator to collaborate with Rocking Star Yash, Mahesh Babu and mark their debut on reels. How does it feel to be able to get such established stars to make a debut like that?
"It has been surreal. I'm overjoyed that they thought I was good enough to debut with on my page. I literally grew up watching them! That is the highest compliment anyone could pay me and I hope to do a lot more of these."
