"Digimon Up" is set to launch worldwide on July 15 for Android and iOS devices, giving fans a brand-new mobile RPG to explore the Digital World.
Developed by Bandai Namco, the free-to-play game allows players to collect, train, battle, and Digivolve some of the franchise's most beloved Digimon, including Agumon and Guilmon.
First revealed during Digimon Con 2026, the game combines classic "Digimon" elements with a new adventure that bridges the real world and the Digital World. Featuring colorful 2D visuals, familiar Tamers, and strategic turn-based battles, Digimon Up is going to be a massive release for smartphone users.
Bandai Namco Confirms 'Digimon Up' Release Date
Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that "Digimon Up" will launch on Wednesday, July 15 (JST). Due to time zone differences, players in some regions may be able to download and access the game as early as July 14.

The game is now available for pre-registration through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. According to the official requirements, iPhone users will need iOS 15 or later, while Android users can also reserve the game ahead of release.
Pre-Registration Rewards Include Free Digimon and Items
To celebrate the global launch, Bandai Namco is continuing its "Digimon Up" pre-registration campaign, rewarding players with a variety of in-game bonuses.
Several milestone rewards have already been unlocked, including:
- Free Bits (in-game currency)
- Summon Tickets
- Gekkomon as a free partner Digimon
According to GameRant, the biggest reward remains the one million pre-registration milestone. If the goal is reached before launch, every player will receive Tai Kamiya (Taichi Yagami) and his iconic partner Agumon, giving fans one of the franchise's most recognizable duos from the original "Digimon Adventure" anime.
Choose From 15 Rookie Digimon
At the beginning of the game, players can create and customize their own Tamer avatar before selecting their first Digimon partner.
Bandai Namco has confirmed 15 Rookie-level Digimon will be available as starter choices, including fan favorites such as Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and several other classic Digital Monsters from across the series.
As players progress through the story, they can recruit additional Digimon, strengthen their team through battles, and unlock powerful Digivolution paths to build their ideal "Digital World" roster.
July Is a Big Month For Digimon Fans
The release of "Digimon Up" comes during a busy month for the franchise.
"Digimon Story: Time Stranger" is also launching on July 10, bringing the RPG to additional platforms with all currently released downloadable content included.
Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will receive an update introducing Performance Mode and Quality Mode, allowing users to prioritize either smoother frame rates or enhanced visual fidelity.
With a new mobile RPG arriving alongside major console updates, July won't be an ordinary month for the beloved franchise. Of course, fans will be busy testing what "Digimon" game will fit their liking.
