A different ship will be visiting the city every day this week as the cruise season enters its busiest period.
After the departure of Norwegian Dawn last night (Monday), a second Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) vessel will be visiting this week - the Norwegian Star, which is due to arrive on Wednesday.
The 294m-length (965 ft) Norwegian Star is stopping over in Liverpool as part of an 11-day one-way cruise from Reykjavik to Southampton. Before that however, today (Tuesday), the Emerald Princess - operated by Princess Cruises - will dock as part of a 12-day, round-trip British Isles cruise, including the Orkney Islands. Onboard guests can enjoy an array of activities including shops and a huge range of restaurants, along with art galleries and auctions, a casino, theatre, pools and a nightclub.
The Fred Olsen Borealis is a familiar sight at the cruise terminal and will be here again on Thursday, on the completion of a six-day round trip exploring the Faroe islands.
Rounding off a busy week at the cruise terminal, on Friday the Silver Whisper will be in town as part of a mammoth 24-day cruise, which started from Copenhagen in Denmark on May 22 and is due to finish at London-Tilbury on June 15.
