'Different class' - Bristol City fans hail new heroes and a familiar face in defence after victory over QPR

It wasn't perfect but two goals scored by home debutants, three points against a previously unbeaten side and a first clean sheet of the season represents an excellent afternoon's work for Bristol City.

QPR were beaten 2-0 following goals from deadline day arrivals Adam Nagy and Benik Afobe and City made it look comfortable in the end with fellow summer signings Han-Noah Massengo and Pedro Pereira also getting their first experience of Ashton Gate.

Understandably, Bristol City fans were quick to hail the work of the goalscorers and new faces, adding a much-needed freshness to the team after the stale performance against Leeds a fortnight ago.

But there was also plenty of praise for who delivered a commanding performance at the heart of defence alongside Tomas Kalas, helping to slightly ease fears over Adam Webster's unfortunate departure.
