'Different class' Áine Wall praised for appearance on TG4's Laochra Gael

Waterford legend Áine Wall has been praised for her appearance on this week's edition of TG4's Laochra Gael.

The footballing icon played a key role in Waterford's unparalleled success in the 1990s.

At club level, Wall was just as dominant and won a staggering 10 All-Ireland titles with her club Ballymacarby, the oldest GAA club in Ireland.

After her retirement, Wall was inducted into the GAA Writers Hall of Fame in 2022.

All this and much more was discussed in an engrossing hour of television, and viewers loved the show.

"Aine Wall #laochragael - different class," said Richard.

"She was lethal," said Aidan about the sharpshooter.

"Am actually glued to this. Fair play to the faithful documentarian who filmed all the training sessions. Epic early 90’s tracking shot from a tractor just now Aine Wall speaks so honestly about loosing as well as winning. Amazing legacy these Waterford women left. #upthedeise," said Bonnie.
