Diet Coke is launching a new Sublime Lime flavour

Diet Coke launched a new flavour of its iconic drink yesterday and fans say it "tastes amazing".

Diet Coke Sublime Lime is the new flavour, which the brand promise will bring "the zesty citrus flavour to the Diet Coke Family".

Amber Topalcik, senior brand manager for Diet Coke Great Britain, said: "We know how much Diet Coke fans love new flavours and we're really excited to launch Diet Coke Sublime Lime.

"For those looking for something new and full of flavour, it perfectly pairs the refreshing taste of Diet Coke with an amazing zesty twist," Cosmopolitan reports.

Fans of the well-loved brand have gone crazy about the new flavour on Twitter.

One said they "normally hate diet coke but the sublime lime diet coke is good".

The new zero-calorie Sublime Lime is available in Morrisons and Sainsbury's stores nationwide.

Shoppers will be able to pick up the drink in three varieties.

For £4 in Sainsbury's, shoppers can buy 8x330ml cans.

Or if you want more, 2 litres is being sold for £2.05.

Morrisons are currently only selling the 8x330ml pack of cans for £3.50.

The new lime drink joins the Twisted Strawberry, Exotic Mango and Feisty Cherry flavours in Diet Coke's range.

Coca Cola have previously released a lime-flavoured drink in 2005, but this was in connection with the full fat Coca Coca product.
