Diesel's belt skirt trolled for looking like a WWE belt

Italian retail clothing company, Diesel is getting trolled for coming up with a skirt that looks like a WWE belt. The micro mini wrap belt skirt from the #DieselFW22 collection in making waves on the internet for its uncanny resemblance to the classic WWE belt.

The skirt which retails at USD 1,000 or INR 81,306 does not look like the most comfortable garment to wear and was first spotted off the ramp on Hollywood actor Nicole Kidman. The actress' 'Perfect' magazine cover had her flexing some muscles and looking super stylish in the Diesel fall 2022 micro mini, along with a halter tank top.

Social media users have shared some hilarious reactions to the skirt which looks like a belt. A TikTok user, @ageorama, reviewed the skirt while discussing its functionality and ended up deciding that she will return the same. A Twitter user, @notkenni, posted her video on the platform. One Twitter user wrote, "the diesel skirt literally looks like the hip brace i have to wear to prevent dislocations," another added. A freelance artist commented on the construction of the skirt. She wrote, "Ppl are really defending Diesel selling a $1,000 “skirt” that cannot be worn out of the house, is made of rubber, & fastens w Velcro. And yet as a freelance artist I’m constantly told my work is too expensive. Funny stuff." Another one wrote, "this is exactly like the WWE belt!"

According to the label, the belt skirt which is part of the brand's fall collection of 2022, is a classic example of the Y2K fashion. The creative director of the brand, Glenn Martens has embraced the year 2000 by incorporating low-waisted silhouettes into the label's collection.
