Diesel CEO lists Belvedere home for sale at $9.3 million

Feb. 24--Alessandro Bogliolo, chief executive of the Italian denim company Diesel, has listed his home on Belvedere Island in Marin County for sale at $9.3 million.

Designed by John Lord King and built in the 1950s, the Midcentury home features an updated floor plan with large formal areas, a chef's kitchen, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in more than 5,200 square feet. Floor-to-ceiling windows take in views of the cityscape, the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island and Sausalito.

Inviting indoor-outdoor entertaining, telescoping walls open to reveal an al fresco dining terrace and a sitting area with a fireplace. A pool and spa complete the 1.14-acre setting.

Bogliolo purchased the home in 2012 for $6.7 million, records show. Prior to that the property was owned by Andrew Pansini, the late entrepreneur and inventor of the automatic pool cleaner, for nearly four decades.

Max Applegart of Decker Bullock Sotheby's International Realty has the listing.

Bogliolo joined Diesel as CEO in 2012, succeeding Daniela Riccardi, now CEO of Baccarat Crystal. He previously served as the North American operations director for French cosmetic brand Sephora and held a similar position with Italanian watchmaker and jewelry brand Bulgari for more than a decade.
