Diego Llorente has sent an emotional farewell message to Real Sociedad ahead of his impending move to Leeds United.
The Spain international is expected to become Leeds' latest recruit of the summer transfer window.
Sociedad have confirmed that a fee has been agreed with the Whites for the defender, reported to be between £18million and £19million.
And Llorente has now taken to social media to confirm he is leaving the Basque club.
The lengthy message, translated into English reads: "They say that when a stage is over, the first thing that comes to mind is how it all started.
"In my case, when I received the call from Real Sociedad, it was a moment of unique happiness to be able to wear the shirt of this team.
"From the first moment I felt like one of the family both on and off the pitch.
"The first thing I want is to thank those who gave me the opportunity and made it possible to come to this club.
"I would also like to thank all the team-mates and staff who I had the pleasure of working with, because they all helped me learn.
"After three seasons, I only have words 'thank you' to all those who helped me along the way, especially my wife, who has encouraged me in the more difficult moments and rejoiced in my triumphs.
"I leave with the peace of mind of having left everything and more on the pitch and proud to have overcome other difficulties like the leg fracture that kept me out of action for two months.
"Finally, thanks to the fans for encouraging us every match unconditionally. In this new Reale Arena, I have been able to see how much your chants help the team towards victory.
"I hope to see the stadium full again before too long.
"I say goodbye to the city where I've married, I've formed a family, I've seen my daughter born and been immensely happy.
"I assure you that a little piece of my heart will always be with you. So long."
